Karin and I left for Canada on Thursday the 29th of May, having been invited to attend the wedding of our son-in-laws sister, Emilie. We had gotten close to her and her fiancee, Scott, last summer when they came for Anna and Sage’s wedding. So much so, that they invited us to their wedding. At this point, we will use any excuse to go see our grand babies. Declan and Ciera-Mai are now 2 years and 4 months old. While their baby brother, Harvey, is 4 months old.
The wedding was awesome and we were very happy to be invited and to take part. We have grown to love Emilie and Scott in a very short time and are really looking forward to see how God works in their marriage.
Because Josh’s father, John Peters, is the pastor of Calvary Fellowship of Okotoks, and was going to marry them and give her away, he had a lot to do and asked me if I would teach the Sunday Morning Service for the church. I was honored to be able to do so, and gladly accepted. Calvary Fellowship of Okotoks had recently begun praying for our outreach to SE Roanoke, so I shared a little of what we are doing there, and then, taught on the Gospel, Evangelism and Discipleship. If you would like to catch up on those, check out our 3 most recent posts.
Annalina, Sage and Tim were all able to go with us but unfortunately could only stay for a short time. They had to return back for work on Monday the 2nd of June. Karin and I were able to stay quite a bit longer, hanging out with Emily, Josh and the babies until Monday the 9th of June. We really enjoyed cramming our grandparent hours in. Since they are living in Canada, we don’t get to see them often, accept through Video Chats.
Now that we are back, we are slowly getting back into the grove of things. This last weeks outreach was quite busy and chaotic to the point that it just all melded together. Nothing extraordinary stood out but we were all blessed that God used us to just be messengers. In His timing we all feel that the harvest will come.
Current needs:
- snacks (chips, crackers, cookies, etc.)
- bottled drinks ( water, Sunny D, Gatorade, etc.)
- deodorant (men’s and women’s)
- socks (mens, women’s, long, short, white, black, whatever)
We would also love for more people to be involved. We are now meeting at 11:30AM at a home there in SE, before the outreach starts, to pray and encourage each other and get our hearts right before the Lord, before we head out. Please pray about joining us.
God’s blessings be upon you.
Jeff and Karin
